This Regal Monumental Louis XVI Period Giltwood, Bronze-Lacquer, Tôle, Wrought Iron & Crystal Chandelier was made in Italy in the 18th century. The elegant hand-carved Giltwood and Bronze-Lacquered Foliate Stem is carved with rings, fluting, egg-dart, reeds, and acanthus motifs. The Foliate Stem is crowned by a wrought iron S-Scrolled Corona with crystal faceted Star Rosettes that suspend the twelve hand-pinned faceted crystal chains. Above the wrought iron S-Scrolled Corona is the Giltwood and Bronze-Lacquer carved Plum with a Gilt Acorn Final on top. The Giltwood Console Ring holds the twelve wrought iron scrolled Candle Branches adorned faceted crystal chains, crystal faceted Star Rosettes, hand-cut crystal Spears, and crystal Bobeches. Below the Console Arms is a elegant hand-carved Giltwood and Bronze-Lacquered Foliate Acanthus receiver bowl, a giltwood Bobeche, and a giltwood reeded elliptica bottom Finial. The Foliate Stem is held together with the original wrought iron Rod and hanging Shackle.
