A magnificent extra large vintage lithogravure of Golden Pheasant by American zoologist, the founder of the American Ornithologist Union, and publisher, Daniel Giraud Elliot (1835-1915). Printed on one side on thick sheet of high quality heavy paper. Very detailed. Publisher copy is printed below the image. Superb quality. Published in San Francisco, California in the mid of the 20th century. Excellent condition – minor edge wear on the lower left corner, which won’t show when the piece is framed, never framed. The piece has been stored flat and will be shipped in a tube.
