19th Century Nicholas Muller & Ansonia “Ulysses” Cast Metal Front Statue Mantel Clock

Up for sale is an antique cast metal front figural mantel clock

The clock features a Nouveau style cast metal-front frame with a lovely statue on top

This clock is quite gorgeous and is certainly an eye catcher.

This one is the “Ulysses” model. It was a collaboration between case maker Nicholas Muller (of New York) and the Ansonia Clock co. It is stamped “N Muller NY NO 167.”

This case model was used in collaborations with both the Ansonia clock company and the Kroeber Clock co.

The clock appears to be in overall good condition.

The coloring on the casing is still original and vibrant.

There are some minor signs of normal wear and age, such as darkening on the paper dial. There is also 1 chip to the back part of the metal casing. It’s not noticeable from the front or sides.

The clock has an 8 day time and strike movement. The movement ran and chimed when we recently tested it. The movement was last serviced last in 2019
