Francesco Zoli, Bas-Relief, 1970s, Terracotta

The son of one of Faenza’s best-known potters, he learned the art of working with clay at an early age. He turned out to be a sculptor and ceramist of high caliber. He is credited with establishing, in the early 1950s, at the School of Art

G. Pellegrino in Lecce of the first ceramics workshop. He later became a teacher at the Bari School of Art before retiring to his hometown.

The bas-relief we present here is from the 1970s , the material used by the artist is clay, with bronze-colored paint finish.
