This lovely large blue and white Chinese dish was made in the Qianlong Era circa 1770.
The dish has hand painted floral decoration in several shades of blue on traditional light blue ground.
In the center is a large blossoming peony with small peonies around it. The scene is bursting with energy.
Nine ogival panels, each featuring a single plant—bamboo, chrysanthemum, or peony—surround the center.
The edge of the dish is painted in a traditional brown color.
On the back of the dish, there are nine blue and white flower sprigs.
