ABOUT
Antique O’Brien’s self-closing cash till with original maker’s plaque and seven sculpted money compartments. The solid Mahogany case is constructed with dovetail joints and has one large glass window and one smaller window both surrounded by bronze frames that show the inner workings. Coins are dropped through the large window and possibly paper money or a receipt were fed through the smaller window. When the drawer is pulled out a bell rings and the mechanism advances the coins further and further along until they drop in the drawer compartments. “O’Brien’s” is etched in the bronze on the large frame. Original paper instructions inside.
