Purchased at an antique store about 20 years ago. Never used it and was kept in storage.
Chair appears to be a sewing rocker based on measurements but can also be used as a child’s rocker. Has 6 carved back spindles, rounded back, long runners that rock it, turned front stretcher and red paint. Finish is a bit distressed from age and use but, still in very nice condition and very sturdy and usable (can seat a child or an adult). Looks to be late 1800s based on patina and hand craftsmanship (no nails). Style listed below is best guess.
