Vintage Design
Decorative vintage glass and brass pendant lamp from the 1970s by Norwegian designer Jonas Hidle for Høvik Verk, Norway. This lamps has a mouth blown glass shade with enclosed airbubbles in the glass. The glassdome is surrounded by a solid, polished circular brass frame. Perfect ceiling and window lamp. Looks great everywhere. Adjustable black cord with a brass ceiling cup. Good vintage condition. Measures: 34cmH x 20 cmD. Jonas Hidle (1912-2001) was a Norwegian designer with great importance for Høvik Verk. Hidle graduated from Norway’s technical college in Trondheim in 1937, and served as an artist, preferably with the design of lighting fixtures. Within this special field he made a decisive effort at a time when there was need for new lighting in most public buildings in Norway.
