Possibly a Wedding Cabinet , a late 18th Century Chinese piece with painted and lacquered decoration on the doors and front of the frame. The doors with ladies in a court scene surrounded by officials and an outer court with trees, branches and architectural elements in black and gold. The bottom panel with pavilions, trees , bridges and fantastic outcroppings. The cabinet sides are in traditional black lacquer. The doors have a central large brass lock plate with lock bar and ring pulls, and the interior is black lacquer with an upper shelf with two drawers and one lower shelf.

Condition: There are various signs of great age including paint and lacquer losses, lifting and general age-related wear with some nicks, rubs and marks however the Cabinet retains an exquisite and regal presentation.
